Associazione Culturale Il Castello<\/strong> Some of the major events are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n A procession carrying the statue of the Madonna up from the little chapel, the sanctuary of the Madonna di Loreto, to the village Church of Santo Stefano followed by two days of religious and community celebrations (July)<\/p>\n\n\n\n A classical music and opera event help in the village square opposite the church usually featuring the renowned opera singer, Maria Luigia Borsi who was born in Fontana Liri (July)<\/p>\n\n\n\n In part to celebrate the feast of the immaculate conception but also a chance to enjoy polenta and other local dishes in the village square (December)<\/p>\n\n\n\n A tour of the streets of the historic centre with stalls selling local dishes cooked by the inhabitants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Associazione Culturale Il Castello Under the guidance of brother and sister Guido and Eloisa Iafrate (both of whom still live in the historic centre), the Cultural Association organises as many events as possible throughout the year to bring people into the village and experience its ancient history and culture.
